Once upon a time a sweet local farm girl sent us a DM asking about our photography packages. Little did we know just how local she was – Ellie lived just one road away from us in Catawba! Ellie and her now husband, Rob, have so much in common with the two of us. They are a young couple our age starting out life trying to make ends meet by having their own dream small business (Catawba Forestry), and after a short conversation with each other we knew that we were going to be a perfect match together!
A few weeks before their big day we took a tour of her family farm where her wedding was to be held, and we fell in love with the views and their beautiful farm house. The entire wedding would be held at her childhood farm house, and we could not have been more excited.
We arrived with sweet anticipation for their wedding day on a perfect October afternoon. The white seating for the ceremony had been set up, their homemade wooden alter was proudly standing (did we mention that they have their own tree removal business, and they used their own wood to make it?!), and the bride was upstairs quietly getting ready for her big day.
While I (Kim) checked on the bride, Tyler walked around the property taking detail shots of the beautiful wedding decor. As usual, Ellie was cool, calm, and collected, even when may have had to start over on some of her makeup 
Finally the big time came and as we walked outside we noticed that the clouds had given us the PERFECT coverage for the ceremony! Ellie walked down the aisle with her arm attached to her daddy and she was grinning (a bit tearfully) ear to ear. Her handsome groom eagerly stood at the alter awaiting his bride. Before you knew it, the couple said “I do”, and it was square dancing, blue grass music, and a tasty roasted pig for the rest of the evening!
